Prof. Francis O. Shode is a distinguished organic chemist, academic, and entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience in teaching, research, and innovation in medicinal chemistry and natural products. He is currently a rated researcher by the National Research Foundation of South Africa.
Prof. Shode has published extensively in high-impact journals, pioneering work on phytochemicals, computational drug discovery, and nutraceutical development. His research has identified and optimized plant-based inhibitors against HIV-1 and SARS-CoV-2, and he has developed functional food formulations to tackle malnutrition and chronic diseases in Africa.

Prof. Shode has established partnerships with local and international institutions, including collaborations on anti-sickle cell disease nutraceuticals with North Carolina A&T State University.
